It's finally open :) The famous steakhouse in Tagaytay Highlands is now at the Mall of Asia, very near the cinemas.I always look forward to eating in this place when I'm in Tagaytay because I'm such a steak lover, plus the ambiance is really wonderful. It looks like a giant log cabin, complete with a fireplace, plus it's so high up that it's pleasantly windly. It's one of those places where you can stay and chat throughout the nite.
Anyway, I was happy to hear that this place was going to open in MOA, but a bit concerned because it might not do justice to the original branch. I finally tried it out last Saturday, and here's what I found out!
The place has a very good location, it's in the back and facing the shoreline. It's made to look like a log cabin, so not really matching with the sea view. It's also a bit too bright for the steakhouse motif. Ambiance is nothing compared to the original, but for those who haven't seen it, the MOA branch looks impressive on its own.
They serve the same menu and have the same prices, except for a few modifications. The steaks are the specialty of course, so you should order that. The steak is imported from US, that's why it's so delicious (and expensive). You know, imported beef really tastes different. Even without any sauce or seasoning, you should be able to smell and taste the pure goodness of beef. Ah basta, it's hard to describe, so you better go here and taste it na lang, hehe. I recall that the Tagaytay place had very nice desserts, but as of now they don't have any yet.

cup of yummy clan chowder soup for 88 PHP, and half of a 14 ounce rib eye steak complete with sidings (1,500 for 14 ounces)
Be prepared to spend around 1,000-1,500 PHP per person, totally worth it if you love your beef :) It's leaps and bounds better if you eat it on top of Tagaytay, but non-members can't be choosers, so MOA will as good as it gets. :)

Nakakagutom naman yang mga pics na yan. Hehehehe... will definitely try it if I go back to Mall of Asia.
The atmosphere of the restaurant will make you think you are in tagaytay highlands. there was just a band inside the resto, and it just added to the noise of the diners. when our steak was served, it was very "malitid" but it was yummy! this is a must-try restaurant in MOA.
hi..their steak is the best steak i've ever tasted.I was so glad I ended up eating there.but the price..one steak is already a month of our dsl bill..hahaha..but it's worth it..if i have more money, I will definitely eat there again.
