In the weeks after that, I could not help but come back to its other cakes and pastries. I'm no sweets-lover, but just seeing the place makes you crave to try it. It has clear white and glass interiors, with a candy-color hue details.
This time around, I tried their most famous dessert, the one that put them in best dessert status: Nono's Chocolate Oblivion (Php 150 for mini cake, Php 900 whole). It is described as two light layers of chocolate cake filled with whipped chocolate cream and walnuts praline bits.
Although it is delicious, personally, I think I am over the chocolate cake phase. you shoul also try their version of Almond Roca, called Almond Crunch (~Php 100/ 100gm), but beware of the sugar. I now love cakes and desserts that are light and refreshing. I strongly feel that sugar is addictive, and you really have to cut it out of your diet so you don't gain weight.
This is why I love my BCP (Php 120 mini cake, Php 600 whole) more, shown at the right. I'd still recommend it here vs Nonos. I have yet to try the other cakes like Mango Torte, so I really wouldn't know.
Visit their website for take-out and more details.
